If you’ve ever removed your throttle cable from the firewall, you know it can be surprisingly difficult. There are stiff tabs on the top and bottom, and getting them both released at the same time is more of a pain than it should be. This is a simple but effective tool that takes care of that for you.
Easy to use – release the cable from the pedal, make sure there’s no insulation to keep the tool from making contact with the metal of the firewall, then slip it into place. Use the pedal to push the tool down, and the cable will pop out. Piece of proverbial cake.
